convert vts ?

Hi all i have a program which i recorded useing a dvd player/recorder i now want to convert it to wmv format how can i do this ? the files on the disc are vts_01_1 vob,vts_01_2 vob is there a freeware program i can do this with.

finalize the DVD in the initial recorder; so it becomes a standard Video DVD;
now you are able to rip and convert the DVD as usual;

Hi thankyou for reply i did finalize the disc in the initial recorder the files on it are vts_01_1 vob,vts_01_2 vob how do i convert them to wmv ? which files do i have to rip ? what freeware program will convert them ?.

But why WMV and not DivX or MPEG2?
