On loading a cd in drive, nudged drive, drawer half shut and jammed. I immediately hit open/close button to release it. Drive now fails to cycle up fully. Have dismantled and reassembled drawer mechanism. Can see no fault. On cycling up read head carriage moves to centre, laser lights bright red but cd does not rotate. Empty tray closes and opens ok. With cd loaded on tray, tray goes in but cannot be opened without mechanically releasing it through the release hole. So, draw mechanism seems to work, rise and fall mechanism seems to work but motor to rotate the cd doesn't. I know I could buy a new one for £20 or so but I hate to be defeated over what seems to be a minor operator error!
