Commercial News Servers?

Anyone got any recommendations for a commercial news server provider?
_ht*p://www.active-news.com seems like a decent deal - but is it too good to be true? I suppose for $6 i should just try it for a month and see. Any horror stories etc.?

Yeah i will probably give it a whirl. Just got easynews on a 3 day trial and it seems really good - but quite a bit more expensive. You probably pay for what you get.

I use 3 news servers.Easynews Clara net and my own ISP between the 3 I can get most stuff I need.Easynews at £6 a month 6 gig limit Clara net £50 for the year 20gig limit a month and my own ISP which is unlimited and nearly always being used.

Well i gave active-news a shot - but it definitely seems you get what you pay for.
Using Newsbin Pro (Great prog! Thanks to all those who recommeneded it!) most of the stuff is pulled from my free ISP anyway - and there seemed to be quite a few error messages from the active-news servers. Not that quick either. Also the 1gb download limit is actually split between 3 servers - 300mb a day max on each. So i don't really recommend it. Paid for 1 month and that's it - have cancelled already.
Have just signed up for easynews - their trial 3 days worked great, and seeing as my ISP news serevr (Pipex) is nice and quick and carries a fair bit the 6gb/month should be plenty for just grabbing the few missing posts.
There you go - my news server feedback!

I download from my isp news server CONSTANTLY.......it's fast and reliable.....and I probably download between 1-5 movies 1-5 apps and 1-5 games EVERY DAY
