Colour & Sound

O.k your probably getting sick of my questions by now but here is another one.
I have a Poineer AO5. I've been trying to copy DVD's, just the movie only. I've recently moved the burner from one computer to another. When I tried to copy a disc it seemed to work ok but when I tried to play it on my comp to test it, it plays fine but the colour is bad and there is no sound. The quality is good.
I then tried the original DVD and it is the same, bad colour and no sound. I tried to play the disc using windows media player and everthing was good. The colour and sound were good.
I tried a music cd in the burned and it plays ok, with wmp.
Does this mean my burner is faulty? It works fine with burning.
Is there some simple setting that I'm over looking.

This is very frustrating. I've finaly been able to copy a DVD but every thing is screwed up.

Alright, I've done some testing and everything works fine on my other computer, sound and colour are perfect.
I put the burner back into my main computer and set it up exactly the same as the second computer, eg primary/secondary, master/slave. Same problem, bad colour and no sound with WinDVD and works fine with windows media player.

O.k I've just downloaded PowerDVD 4 XP from the main site and this seems to be working fine. I still don't understand why WinDVD works fine on my other comp with XP and not my main with XP. But anyway it is working fine with PowerDVD.
If anyone reads this and knows why, pls still post a reply as I am curious as to why this was a problem.
