I hope this is in the correct section first of all, sorry if it ain't. And secondly I have done a search but can't find an answer. And the question - what is everyone's favourite codec combination? Probably been asked loads, so sorry! I had the ace mega codecs pack installed, but then a few files were missing from it and some files wouldn't play. I know of Nimo packs and K-Lite too, but I don't want too many installed as it's more likely to mess up. Thanks in advance everyone!

personally I only install the codecs I need NEVER packs just search on good old Google finds what U need (& G-Spot will tell U what codec to use)
Codec packs = EVIL. Besides I have all kinds of funky codecs/filters installed that simply aren't featured as any part of a codec pack, at least not when they first came out.

Ok thanks for that. I have a few avi files, and when I open them in gspot it says I have all the codecs necessary top play them. Yet they won't play in any media players I have (realplayer, wmp, wmp classic) and gspot cannot render them properly. See the jpg for all the video codecs I have installed, shouldn't they all be fine?!
