Codec Help in Windows Media Player for XP

I have a SVCD movie which i would like to play in Windows Media Player but when i play it, all i get is the audio of the movie, no video.

Can anyone tell me what codec i need to get so i can view it.

try using POWER DVD or WINDVD to play back SVCD

also there is a player out there called 'STHSVCD' google for it and use that to play the disk

I have WINDVD and it plays in that. I was wondering if there is a codec for Media Player because i was told it should be able to be played in it.

WMP plays SVCD fine with the right codecs. Try a pack from http://www.k-litecodecpack.com/
Instead of WMP you could try Media Player Classic- http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/ light and powerful implementation of the WMP engine.

That @%$&$%^ Klite codec pack has screwed up more computers. Unless you KNOW what you're doing, don't install it. The defaults can overwrite codec's you already have, and cause problems.
Start with the official WMP9 codec's at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/format/codecdownload.aspx
