Clony XXL

Hi I have been using clonecd for some time now but I just downloaded a program called clony xxl version 2.0.0.6 which looks to be a protection scanner, does anyone out there know how it works and do I need to set anything up to use it. A bit of an explaination would be great.

What you do is (for clone cd 4);
1. Put the disc you want to copy into the drive.
2. Click "Scan CD"
3. Click "Start Clone CD"
4. When Clone CD has started click "Read to image file"
5. Now click the drive the disc is in, use the best drive you have. Look here for details ----> http://elby.ch/english/products/clone_cd/writers/a.html
6. Then Click "_Clony XXL"
7. The just name the image whatever you want and click "ok"
8. Wait for the image to complete
9. Take the disc out of the drive and put a blank recordable media inside.
10. Now click "Write from image file"
11. Make sure that the image selected is the one you want and just click "next"
12. Click "_Clony XXL" again and click "Go"
13. Wait, and now you should have the perfect copy.

Thanks mate I gave it a shot on the game Sudden Strike II but it did not work, in fact it failed with a message I have never seen before so Im not sure if I want to keep making coasters!!

have you had the same trouble with the program?

Does anybody know of a good and frequently updated online database about copying protected games and programs? Clony XXL is a great program but what about if I would like to know how to copy for example a game before buying it, to see if its possible to make a working copy with my Liteon 24102B?

Now your the a real pirate here bro. The idea is to buy the end product not copy it then deside to buy just because 1) you can't copy it now your not going to but it.
2) Buy the software you want then try to make your back ups.
3) You must have friends who may loan you a game or two?
Come back to your other part of your question there are many datebase over the web. You can also check your burn apps homepage for 1 or check out site that deal will Game patchingGame news groups or just try Mr Yahoo.

Why pirate? I buy almost all the software that I have, but its a mess when you lost your investment in the hands of kids, like it has happened to me in the past. That is why I would like to know if a game can be backed up before having it, IS THAT SO BAD?
This was just a simply question about a good database, its not ilegal at all to be interested in it! And please rastabt, don't come to me with these kind of things now, I understand perfectly the new path taken by cdrsoft, but stop to use these kind of terms with people that is in the same boat as you. Or do I have to bring to your mind posts made by you here just some months ago to see WHO is more pirate here ah?

1) If your going to buy a game for the kids (not talking about yourself ) your going to buy a game which is fit for them and one they would like to play yes. So you don't need to know if it will back up.
2) Now many games are harder to back up as you should know so once again going to limit your buying range.
Yes its nice to have back up of your data.
I'm glad for the open debate here and if I felt this was an illegal request I would of closed the thread.
!!!!?????
Another ting is wot burning apps Ur using ......

@RASTABT:
You can express your opinions without calling people for what they are not. "Pirate" is a very ofensive expression IMO.
I am not a newbie in this forum m8, and I have always respected and received respect. I think we all deserve a little of that, and much more comming from an admin.

Some out-lets you can hire/loan game software including BlockBus*er. Yet once again depending on the burning program being used to copy the dam thing.Once again dependin on the s/w being used their forums are a good source of info on which settins to use to overcome the protection on the disk.
CDMate' forum for one used to B a good source and had a very nice database. From wot I've been reading Alcohol is the Daddie for protect disk coping,,,,Alcohol hic hic-up!

@VIPER_1069

my question here would be how does anyone copy a game BEFORE BUYING IT !? duh ?! that makes no sense at all !? Well,you got it from friend or download from net(or from somebody`s ftp)..............so it does make a sense......Btw,thorz wanted to know if he can copy the game before buying it,so he will know if he can have working backup...

It seems to me that thorz only tries to find out which version of protection is on a game before buying it...;)

Thorz,if you don't mind about a german interface,check here:

http://www.entf.de/

download the file "TCCD-Database 3.0 mit BDE" and install.......the site is updated on a regular base with new downloads for the program.....:)
