I just received a press release about this... ;)

CloneDVD Update Version 1.3.9.8
New: Improved Image quality by skipping not-selected titles, adjustable
writing speed

Cham, 2003-10-6 - The Elaborate Bytes team presents a new version of
CloneDVD: While preserving the original menu, the non-selected titles (e.g.
movie credits) will be skipped and not be taken in full length as a grey
still frame. The advantage for the user: He doesn't need to fast forward
over the grey parts and the amount of data which will be transcoded is
reduced: Less data, improved image quality!

In addition the preferred writing speed can be selected: The user can
manually change the writing speed of his DVD writer to the maximum speed of
the DVD blank media.

Other small details like i.e. the automatic adoption of the movie title of
the original DVD should make life easier for the copying people.

You'll find all technical details about changes of this version here:

You can download the new CloneDVD at www.elby.ch. For registered costumers
the update is for free!

Anyone experiencing a substantially longer time to transcode and burn with the new 1.3.9.8 version?

Seems to take almost twice as long now.....

No such problems here. However, I have another issue that someone might be able to help me out with. The sound is a lot lower on the transcoded dvd than on the original. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
