currently i am using clonedvd v1.3.11.2 with anydvd 3.2.0.1 to copy dvds. the problem is that it seems to be running very slow. to read the dvds i have a nec nd-5700 which reads at 16x. to write i have an nec nd-2500a which can write dvd+R at 8x. i also have a p4 2.8ghz 800mhx fsb, 768mb pc3200 ram and an 80gb hard drive. for some reason the transcoding process takes about 80 minutes on average. i have read that with a system like mine i should be able to copy a dvd in about a half an hour. the writing speed seems ok seeing as how it only takes about 15 minutes to actually write. could somebody please tell me why it might be taking so long to copy the info to the hard drive?

You should upgrade to the latest v2 and then try. The upgrade is free to all previous version 1 owners too. :)

hey thanks, i downloaded the upgrade and now a typical dvd takes only about 40-45 minutes total to burn. a single layer dvd only takes like 15 minutes which is awesome. the only problem is that clonedvd2 just says its an upgrade that will only last for 30 days. before i downloaded it i read that it was supposed to automatically detect if i had the original clonedvd. for whatever reason it didnt so now all i have is the trial version. does anybody know how i could get the normal version?
