CloneCD Tray "Hide CDR Media" not working?

With CloneCD 3.3.4.1 (or whatever the last official 3.x version was) the "Hide CDR Media" option in the CloneCD tray worked fine. It hid the ATIP from programs like CDR Identifier and all CDR recording programs. All could find no info about a recordable disc. This was 2ith 3.3.4.1 on Win98SE. However, on my Win2K machine this option never worked. CDR Identifier "saw right through" the option. After upgrading to ClonCD 4.0.1.3 (forgot to check when I had 4.0.0.1 installed) on the Win98SE machine, now it behaves like 3.3.4.1 did on Win2K - CDR Identifier and recording programs SEE THE MEDIA!!

Both machines have the region settings set to English (Carribbean) to enable the amplfiy weak sectors option and the hide CDR media options.

So, does this option no longer work if you've changed region settings in windows, but pretends to allow you to use it? Or, is it smarter and only hides it from games that check for it, but not from CDR programs? It seems like "good" programs that check the ATIP would use the same procedure calls as the games would, so I cannot believe it's this smart. Also the fact that it worked with 3.3.4.1 on Win98SE and not on Win2K makes me believe its something else.

Any ideas? Help!

Win2k is the newer breed of WinNT so we've got problems with Hardware and software layers... i too have experienced near similar problems editing VCD Data Files under Win2k but works perfectly in Win98(SE or any kind).

it's really nothing to worrie about so much if you setup dual booting or sumthing... but it also 'could be a clutter of rego stuff in you sys...

Format start clean once again that may fixup almost anythin'...:D
