clonecd help please

I just got my first burner and is a liteon 24x. I found no one lives forever in ccd format. My question is since the files ccd, img, sub, and cue are already created by some grewp, since I am loading image file ccd when I go to burn, do I leave everything on default (the settings)? I would think settings within the files would tell clone how to burn the image correctly since it was clone that created them....is this correct?

THe only thing I have checked right now are buffer underrun protection and close last session. I know that if I were to burn the image from the CD myself I would have to click don't repair subchannel data.....but do I need to tick this at all in this case since the files were already correctly imaged (I assume)???

Please tell me so I can do this correctly.

TIA

p.s. - had to add this, I have it on RAW DAO for write mode. Is this also correct? thanks again

Hi bud,RAW DAO is fine. You need always close last session too.Buffer underrun is correct.Don't correct subchannel data is only used for PSX.Your writer will do it fine!:)

ok woody, but do I need to click the box that says "do not correct subchannel data"?? Remember, I am NOT creating the image from CD. The files I am using to burn from are files created by CloneCD by a warezgrewp for this game (ccd, img, sub, and cue). I am confused when it comes to burning ccd files that I have dl from the net.

My thinking process: Someone burned this game using CloneCD and released it making up four files - ccd, img, cue, and sub. In creating these files that make up the image of No One Lasts Forever they would have TICKED the box that says "do not correct subchannel data"(Is this right, that is my understanding from reading diff sites). This would make all the info necessary to burn a perfect disk contained in those 4 files. Now, when I get the files from let's say mirc, I dl them to my computer and want to burn them. Do I now have to check that same box "Do Not Correct Subchannnel Data" or do I leave it empty because the images created by the grewp already possess that info? Or do I have to tell clonecd again??

If I don't click the box "do not correct subchannel data", does that mean clonecd will ignore the sub file when burning?? My question is pretty straight forward, I am just really confused as to how the burning program will treat my situation, to tick or not to tick that box??

hope you can help me cuz maybe I dont make any sense?

maybe my understanding of correcting subchannel data is all wrong :(

I have read posts where people tell what box to tick and all and this is how I came about my understanding of the above.

Im sorry woody, this is my first time burning anything so maybe clonecd is not the app I should learn on....but I have to use it for this since the ccd file.

Im lost :(
