i have CHOPPY LAGGY SOUND in divx playback !? dvd and vcd and svcd play back with the sound fine and in sync !? divx playback are not in sync or laggy ?!

i read somewhere that if i disable ESD or Enlightened Sound Daemon pluging or sumthing that this will either solve this problem or help cut down the lag ?!

ive searched google and other search engines but only find stuff related to LINUX problems !? not windows !?

ive tracked it down to have involvement with the mmsystem.dll and the winmm.dll too but cannot disable those to test ?!

any help appreciated :)

Hi

I think its your processor. If your processor is slow like P1 or P2 you will have this sync problem. Your computer cannot process fast enough. Try playing that on an faster computer.

DivX needs more processor power.

@ sparkey11 welcome and thanks for the reply mate :) unfortunatley the bank balance does not allow an upgrade lol i need to upgrade the mother board and the processor at the same time :( so will have to live with it or aquire them on vcd instead lol :)
