Chapter problem when compiling 2 sided DVD

Does anyone know how to edit the chapters order when making a compilation of a two sided DVD ???

Here is my problem:
I have the first 7 seasons of Friends and want to backup it but, as they are two sided it will make a lot of discs...

I tryed DVD Shrink to compile both sides to one DVD-R and everything was going well until I put the burned DVD to my player.
I can't change to the next chapter !!!
It seems that every episode is encoded as chapter one...
Or only the first episode has a chapter...

It means that if I want to watch the 6th chapter on the DVD I have to do a fast forward for ten minutes before I'm at the right place...

Is there a way to edit the chapters number/order ???

You need to use a dvd authoring program so that you can create your own chapter set points.

Well, first things first, thanks for responding so quickly...

Do you mean I have to extract every audio, video, subs, etc (demux ???) from the DVD and re-create it entirely with program like DVD Maestro, TMPGEnc or so ???

Isn't a simplest way ?

When I backup a movie, the chapters are correct, why with the compilation it doesn't ? At least for the first 4 episodes from the same side ???
