Looking for some assistance. Trying to find out where to get drivers for my CDRW Drive or find out what kind it is...My Newly purchased Stomp Record Now Max Software dosn't recognize it anymore but it works.
The Properties Say the following.

CDWRITER IDE5224
Device Type: DVD/CD-Rom drives
Manurfacturer: Standard CD-Rom Drives
Location: Location 1 (1)

It also states the device is working properly...

Its a 52x 24x 52x CDRW Drive

My operating system is XP Pro
I tried removing and reinstalling the Stomp SW with only ending up
with the same results...Also loaded the Aspi 4.7....Not even sure
what aspi is but I loaded it. ANy assistance here would be greatly appreciated. THank you much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

and its working...what is it you want it to do?

If you purchased it..just email the support..while you wait..Download from their page newest px engine..update and reboot..and check after..You dont need aspi for a rnm..but you may need for some other app like eac........Also..check windows bios or explorer properties and see if recognized??....Also..you could try bao..Its a nice--all in one software w3hich some people use here..very small and works ok for everything..evn audio images are ok..And see if it can recognize it??Like you can see it in my screenshot...

It's a DMA issue. RecordNow drivers demand DMA mode to communicate with the devices, while this burner can't operate in DMA mode, it seems (check your DMA settings, it should be set as PIO-only). In short RNM is not terribly good software for that particular burner.
