Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39).Both drives show up in the bio but will not in windows xp.
Duracell,
I had the same missing drive problem. I have WinXp SP1 installed. I use DickDump, FireBurner, and Exact Audio Copy for all my burning needs. I was looking thru my add/remove programs and noticed I hav CDRWIN 5.0 installed. Uninstalled it. My drives were gone. Searched here and found solution. I removed the lowerfilters entry in the registy key stated in the procedure found on this forum. There was no Higherfilters entry to delete. Rebooted and drives are here. I am going create a restore point as soon as I submit this relply. Thanks to Woody, Laz and all others.
