I have 2 HDD, each one with 2 partition.
in one disk win2k ( C: and D: )the other winxp ( E: and F: )
The multiboot is possible pressing F8 ( boot menu of the board )
My cd letter is G. In win2k a have in desktop a shortcut like this "G:\database2002.mdb". When i take off the hdd with winxp the shortcut don't work because the cdrom letter is now E:

How can i make a universal shortcut to cd ?

@pokopiko

"Sending your CD-ROM somewhere else in the back, eg "L" drive, and lock it there. Can be doone easily in both XP and 2000. "

Can you explain better ??? Please!!!

Thanks !!!

start this programme on winxp:

E:\WINDOWS\system32\diskmgmt.msc

and change the cdrom letter so that they are the same on both OS
