CDR Audio won't play in DVD player

Hi all

I burn dozens of audio cdr's and they all work perfectly in my car and home DVD player. My girlfriends DVD player, however, says "no disc" when I try to play them. I've tried burning the title and artist when using Nero 5.5.9.0, but it doesn't help.

Is there another burning app that will sort out the problem??

I know some players (Sony's especially) are designed not to play "non-original" discs. Is there some way around this??

If Her standalone wont play Audio copy CDR I would rekon that may be it but the guru's on here may know different

problem is surely incompatible CDR media;

try to burn them with lower speed (4x),
if it doesn't help then buy some CDR with an other dye layer;
if you used Long strategy media (e.g. Cyanine, Azo) till now, then try (Short strategy; e.g. Phthalocyanine) instead or reversely;

First check for sticker if your dvd standalone should play audio-cds??Mostly they do....If it is possible...as Duracell said...Check your media......Nero is able to burn audio-cds......

Try a CDRW as they tend to be more compatible with picky DVD players. CDR's like Princo also have a good rep.

You might also want to checkout the player database at vcdhelp/dvdrhelp.

As a last resort you could look for a girlfriend with a more compatible DVD player.
