cdr 2 dvd without a dvd burner?

hi all just a question
in my hotmail account somebody keeps sending me emails saying that u can burn dvds without a dvd burner is this true? or are they just trying to get your money?if it is wots it called cheers

SmartRipper+ DVD2SVCD+ CCE= encoded DVD. Simply burn with VCDEasy or Nero. If you create bin& cue files, use CDRWin or BurnAtOnce. Use the tutorials above^ to see how easily this is accomplished ;D

what you said is a little misleading PePsIB. Yes it will be an encoded DVD so to speak, but at best they will get an SVCD and not a DVD without a DVD burner.

So NO! As joripe mentioned, it is just conware. They all mean you can convert them to VCD or SVCD that will play on your standalone DVD player.
The tuts mentioned are the best around (from ChickenMan & elpresidente).
Aren't you glad you didn't have to pay for it either? but I do take all donations =) hehehe

dvd to vcd,cdr

yes you can, use a dvd ripping software like (e.g dvdx2)
ripp your dvd's to your hard drive then copy to disc using nero
record as data cd.
you then can play the film back on your computer, if you wanna burn them as a vcd you can but you need to then ripp them as avi or mpeg, this means you can play them on your computer or a dvd player compatable to play vcd's ok

Sorry mate, but the original post is refering to burning a DVD without a DVD burner. Its implying its still DVD quality. It is not, the software is similar to DVDx as you suggested and just converts the DVD to VCD. Thats why its refered to as con-ware. Its all in the words used and what they claim is not true.

joripe listed the tutorials addys, they will make AVI's, VCD or SVCD 100% better and free than this crappy misleading con-ware.
