CD RW Drive

Here is the skinny,

CDWRITER IDE5224
Device Type: DVD/CD-Rom drives
Manurfacturer: Standard CD-Rom Drives
Location: Location 1 (1)

Its a 52x 24x 52x CDRW Drive

I cannot find the paperwork...how can I find out where to get drivers for this. I have been using Stomp Recordnow max...and I am having intermittent problems with is recognizing the drive.....THanks...

this looks like an OEM drive which came bundled with a new PC; it's only supported by the bundled (preinstalled) burning software;

you can check your PC fabricators homepage or try their phone hotline, maybe they will tell you the real drive fabricator and model;

then if you know what it is, you can try a firmware upgrade with the real fabricators firmware;
