CD-RW , CD-MRW and MT.Rainer ??????

hi

i want to know about the CD-MRW that use the MT.Rainer .

is the CD-MRW a writing mode like Audio CD , Video CD , SVCD ... using the CD-RW media ?? or it's another media ???

and does CD-MRW need a special program to play the cd only ??

thank you.........

CD-MRW (Mt Rainier) is a better way of packet writing - using a CD-RW as a "giant floppy". The main improvement being that defect handling is a drive function.

Firmware support, and a suitable writing tool (eg. current InCD versions) is required, but software reader support is possible for legacy drives - in a similar way to a "UDF Reader".
