I have a LiteOn 24x burner and can write 99min 5sec onto a Ritek 99min CDR using either Nero (5.5.5.1) or Discjuggler 3.5.x. In both cases, you must engage Overburning option.
All software will see a 90min or 99min CDR as an 80min CDR, the overburn feature of the software overcomes this problem. Not all burners can write up to 99min (Plextors cant !) and many will only write to high capacity CDR's at lower speeds. Most can only write up to 90min.

you are right CM, plextors can only do upto 98.35 minutes =) (but most peak out at the 96.46 min mark).
