CCE Encoder errors Please help !

Using Win XP with a P4 2.4ghz CPU
Latest DVD2SVCD software being used as well as CCE 2.50 with the checksum crack applied. CPU is not overclocked. ASPI drivers installed and ASPICHK says that they are installed correctly.

Having heaps of problems coverting DVD to SVCD. Was working perfectly well for about 2 weeks but now getting failures with every DVD I try.

The picture attached is the latest error I am getting. Problems first started with the checksum error, that occured out of the blue and I've overcome that, but has been erroring out when it has completed the .MPV file. By that I mean it completes that up to 100% but just before it goes to the next stage I get a windows error, the one that says about sending or not sending the error to microsoft. The error was found in CCE. When you click on details it mentioned CCE and the version number 2.50 and also the file NTDLL.DLL, which incidently has shown up in the event viewer over the last week. I have compared the version of that file with a colleagues and they are identical.

I have trashed the pc and done a clean install of XP and only installed DVD2SVCD and CCE and it still fails. In desparation I have tried changing a few settings in DVD2SVCD. I turned on safe mode in the encoding tab and it actually got right to the end and started to create the BIN/CUE files but then came up in the LOG that VCDXBUILD failed to create BIN/CUE files. The other setting I changed was the Multiple passes from 4 to 3.

Does anyone have any ideas ?

Okay thanks, I've checked some of those settings and I have now got right to the end and this is the message that has come up....

--------------------------------------------------------
- 29/10/2002 12:06:07 AM
- Free on drive C: 28518.95 mb
- Creating CD-Images using VCDXBuild
--------------------------------------------------------
- No. of chapters to create: 17

CD image #1: CD_Image_File_CD1.bin

Executing VCDXBuild. Commandline:
"C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\VCDImager\VCDXBuild.exe" --verbose --cue-file="C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie\CD_Image_File_CD1.cue" --bin-file="C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie\CD_Image_File_CD1.bin" "C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie\VCDXBuild_Script_1.xml"

VCDXBUILD failed to create a bin/cue file!

Check that the file CDXBuild_Script_1.xml exists that its calling up. So you have the 2 MPG files in the HD though?

I assume you have enough HD space as well? and that you have defragged it recently?

If you have the 2 MPG files, just load them into VCDEasy and create the same manually.

CCE Encoding probs continue

Sorry but I'm fairly new to all of this, but I'm having persistent probs with CCE encoding.

I've posted a few errors recently, for one reason or another those problems seem to go but then I get something else totally different despite the fact that I haven't changed any settings. I know it sounds crazy.

The latest one is a Cinema Craft Encoder has encountered an error, this is during the last leg of encoding. This is the windows pop up box with the 'dont send' 'send' option.

The latest message you is attached and the rest of the line that is off the screen is :

c:\programfiles\dvd2svcd\movie\bbmeg_muxed_file.mpg

Is the file not found referring to the runbbMPEG.exe file, which does exist (i've checked) or is it trying to create the mpg file and then as it doesn't do that it then looks for it and if it's not there says file not found ? the mpg file is definetly not created in that directory.

I have 20gb of space and I have just defragged my pc as well.

This pc has also been trashed and has nothing else on it except XP, DVD2SVCD (latest one) and CCE 2.50 cracked with checksum crack as well.

Should I try TMPGENC instead of CCE ?

Should I try a newer version of CCE ?

What about another ripping program instead of DVD2SVCD ?

The strange this is I backed-up a DVD to SVCD two days ago, changed no settings at all (except loading in the new picture) and it has gone off the rails again.

HELP !!!!!!!!!!1
