CCE and TMPGEnc Question

ok I have been using TMPGEnc for a while but have decided to try out CCE, I have downloaded the trial software version of the website and was wondering if there is anyting I need to do to make it run (settings wise). Do I just point DVD2SVCD to the .exe file as I do with TMPGEnc and leave it or do I need to set it up.

What are the best settings for TMPGEnc, do I leave them as the default settings used by the program when you install it or should I be changing them to get better SVCD's. I do not worry about time or size or disks I just want the best quality movies I can get.

Who hard is the DVD2SVCD ripper V-Strip to use and setup? I currently use SmartRipper but have heard along the grapevine that V-stripper is a far better program.

Chickenman, if you read this and there is alternative ways to set up programs like TMPGEnc and CCE do you think you could post a tutorial in your section, I read them all the time to gain better insight to the joys of encoding movies.

Also a mate of mine uses DVD2SVCD and TMPGEnc but only gets 3 minutes of the movie, it seems to encode in chapters where as mine does the whole movie, why is this and how do you fix the problem.

If your read my tutorial in detail, you will note I suggest CCE version 2.50 ONLY. for DVD to SVCD. To the newbie, anything else will cause all sorts of problems with the latest version not even working with dvd2svcd.

I have recommended and use CCE myself as it is substantially quicker than TMPGEnc and give a better quality result. But TMPGenc can be used, just select 2 Pass VBR though and leave the rest at defaults. That will be the best TMPGEnc can give you.

With regards to your friends encode, your really not telling me or anyone else enough to help with solving the problem.
