CCE 2.5 Quit working in DVD2SVCD!

I'm experiencing the weirdest problem. All of a sudden when I try to convert an .avi to dvdr with DVD2SVCD CCE hangs when it gets to the encoding screen. The progress screen comes up, but the time-line never activates. According to the task manager it's running and my CPU usage is at 100% but it is hanging. This happens with any version of DVD2SVCD and I've tried reinstalling CCE also. Here's my log where it hangs:

---AVS Begin---
LoadPlugin("D:\VIDEOT~1\DVD2SVCD\MPEG2Dec\mpeg2dec.dll")
AVISource("D:\PROGRA~1\KAZAAL~1\MYSHAR~1\INSPEC~1.AVI",False)
ConvertToYUY2()
BicubicResize(720,480,0.0,0.6)
ResampleAudio(44100)
----AVS End----

Funny thing about it is I do not have the Resample audio box checked. Is it because of this line (AVISource("D:\PROGRA~1\KAZAAL~1\MYSHAR~1\INSPEC~1.AVI",False)? And if so, why does it say False?

I should also add that if I select TMPGEnc as the encoder it works fine.

Any help would be appreciated!

Your problem is not with the "False" at the end of the AVISource line, that is normal. The ResampleAudio (44100) is only there to stop CCE from hanging on an AMD system. and as DVD2SVCD does not use CCE to do any Audio encoding the line really does nothing.

If the AVI is made with DivX 3.11 codec, CCE can have problems with that. Is the Div3 to Div4 box ticked in the Misc Tab ?

I tried with the ReSample audio ticked as well as the Divx3 to 4 ticked and it made no difference...still hangs...tried reinstalling both dvd2svcd and cce on two different hard drives with different OS's and no change...it just quit working!!!

have u tried doing an avi that previously worked?
I had this problem myself. (Or a similar one)
It was caused by something that nimo codec pack installed.
seemed unrelated at the time but uninstalling it fixed it for me.

As daveml indicated, the problem is not with CCE or dvd2svcd. It will be the avi or other software installed.

Please report the video & audio codec reported by GSpot ( http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ ) and if they are installed or not

Have you run the avi through DivFix to see if it finds any problems?

I ran it thru divX fix before trying to encode as well as G-Spot and all was fine, That's why I'm stumped. also tried an old file that worked before and it still hangs.

I got it fixed with the help of ddogg over at doom's forum.

Required a registry fix. It's working faster then ever since my

upgrade to NForce2 mobo and overclocked AMD XP 2100+!!!

I'm running over 2ghz speed and encoding has never been so fast!
