Can't Read CDR

I have 2 nearly identical DELL Dimension 433, 384mb Ram, Upgraded Bios, Win98se, IE6, both with updates & patches, Yamaha CDR+RW, Nero software.
Last night, on Dell-A i dragged/dropped a zipped file to Nero Burning rom & burned it onto an ongoing compilation CDR. Now W98se will only read that zipped file & not the other 200mb of files on that CDR. I can read the used space on the CDR but can't see the icons that represent the rest of the contents, only that zipped file. The same thing happens on my other Dell (B).
If anyone has any suggestions for how to correct this anomaly i would be greatful.
Thanx, Y'all, Regards, 2ba4 (DON)

If by "ongoing compilation CDR" you mean a multisession CD, you will need to mount your previous session(s) if you want to read them. If your session was open then Nero has screwed up, you might try ISObuster to extract the nonvisible files. And finally, if by "NeroBurning ROM" you actually mean Ahead inCD, then God save the Queen...

Well, to me "ongoing" & "multisession" seem to be the same thing.
What does "mount" refer to? What is isobuster? I don't know what Ahead in CD means either. I guess i don't know very much based on the contents of your response to my query.

Multisession is a CD which is not finalized but already has a session (ore more) burned on it which is/are CLOSED, and an open session waiting for data. Open CD is a CD which has one session with data already burned in, but the session is not closed. This is readable only in your burner. ISObuster can be found at www.isobuster.com and it's free version should be good for your needs. Finally inCD is a packet writing utility which usually comes bundled with Nero, and burns only to RW media. There are no sessions there, the disk is always open till it's finalized.

Well, i finally got around to dnldng "ISO-BUSTER's" free version. Then i went to work on "that" CDR. The free version was only able to read 1 track & that's o'k because i made a "print screen" shot of the contents of all CDR, LS120 & 1.44mb floppies. That way, with a mere qiuck glance i know exactly what is on "that" disk. Although, i will admit that i don't always keep those "screen shots" up to date. However not all was lost on that disk. I couldn't afford the $30 that "ISO BUSTER wanted for their software, so i had to settle for the free version.
The replies to my original post alerted me to how dumb i am about CDR burning & that's o'k because i don't have the time in my life to learn many of the things i would like to. And, that's where this forum becomes so important to people like me. All i ask is that you be patient with us dumbies when adderssing our posts (queries). Remember you all were dumbies at some point also & obviously decided to persue your computer interests further than we did.
So, thanx very much for your web site & help! Regards, 2ba4 (DON)

@scarecrow it sounds quite possible that 2ba4 has an unclosed disk/session !?

@2ba4 have you tried adding any more data to the disk using the multisession options of nero to see if it will then close the session thus allowing you to read the rest of the data on the disk !? :)
