cant load avi files....

1:Means the audio is encoded with vbr(variable bitrate). This sometimes causes sync issues.

If your avi(or final encode) does not have sync issues leave it as is.

If it does have sync issues imo dont let virtualdubmod correct it.
Instead extract to wave(sometimes that leaves you with an mp3 in wave file, this is easily recognized by the size of the extracted file though, and can be converted to regular wave in most cases).
Add the extracted audio and encode it with cbr(constant bitrate) while correcting any sync issues (with the interleave/skew correction options).

2:Means you need the xvid codec

:)

this codec pack maby the source of your problems :(

these packs are a BIG MISTAKE too many codecs SPOIL the encode :(

more often than not these so called megapacks messes everything up

USE ... G-SPOT codec Analysis tool and ONLY install the codecs required .. as and when :)

A decoder is not the same as a codec, often these "codec" packs just include decoders that allows for watching, not encoding
Try installing the standalone xvid codec(normal installation in your operating system)
