I made my first SVCD successfully with TMpeg. I want to cut the file in two or more parts to save it to a CDR for backup.......... For some reason TMpeg wont do it for me, It starts like normal but only cuts about 315 seconds no matter where I tell it to stop. Ive cut vcd files before with no problem, Does anybody have any Ideas?????

Many people have this problem while others do not. Not sure on the real reason. If you used DVD2SVCD with TMPGenc (or better still CCE) it would have automatically cut the movie for you.
MPEG2VCR (www.womble.com) is a better alternative for cutting MPEG2 files. bbMPEG can also be used but difficult to learn. Do a search here, its been discussed many, many times before.
And welcome to the forum. A quicker responce would have been if you posted in the SVCD section also. Moving it there now.

Could also try MPEG2Cut which is based on DVD2AVI. It is free and seems easy enough to use. No idea how effective it is though.
