can't burn an svcd movie with nero

i have a movie in svcd (bin/cue)format but i can't get it to burn in nero; it says it cant' read the bin file but i tried converting it to mpg via vcdgear and it converted fine; what do guys suggest to do to burn it to a cd?

thanks.

The CUE may be incorrect - some programs write the DIRECTORY and filename of the BIN into the CUE, which breaks it if they do not remain in the same directory ... if that's the case, you can edit the CUE with notepad, and ensure that it specifies ONLY the filename, and then make sure it's in the same directory as the BIN.

Remove the PATH definition for the .cue file with an advanced text editor (like Notepad), and try again... if .cue and .bin arein the same directory you should have no problems.

What version of Nero are you using? Is this a 6.x release? If so, it may have to do with the fact that the image completely fills the disc. Some versions of 6 (up to 6.0.0.19) had problems filling the disc to capacity.

thanks guys for all your help

i have nero v5.5.10.20, but i think the problem is in the way the cue is written

FILE "D:\vcd encode\DVD2SVCD\Movie\CD_Image_File_CD1.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
FLAGS DCP
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 MODE2/2352
FLAGS DCP
INDEX 00 00:04:00
INDEX 01 00:06:00

but the bin/cue r located in a different path altogether
so i should change the first line to match the exact location of that bin file? and yes i know that the bin and cue should be in the same directory; they were alwys inthe same directory

i tried editing the first line with the corect locatoin but it still gives methe same error; may be i got the syntax wrong?

edit:my bad; it works when i tried to change to the correct location of the bin"; thanks guys :)

Just change the first line to FILE "CD_Image_File_CD1.bin" BINARY and keep the .bin and .cue to the same directory. If it doesn't work, it's time to use something else than Nero... former Nero versions just ignored the FLAGS commands, dunno if the newer ones reject burning alltogether- I've stopped using it for quite some time. Notice also that your first track is just 4 seconds (= right on the limit for a book compliant CD), which may be part of the problem. It is also out of the book specs (Video CD images are supposed to have one mode1/2048 DATA track and one MODE2/2324 or 2336 video track), altough most burning programs should have no trouble burning two MODE2/2352 tracks which strictly speaking are NOT allowed under the book specs. I suggest using VCDeasy (=CDRDAO) instead to burn. It should work without any issues.
