Can't burn 80min CD onto 80min CD-R.

I am using Nero 6 but I can not burn 80 min of music onto my 80 min CD-R I turned on the overburn feature but no luck anybody know if there is a way to do this (CD-R has only 79:57 of space).

Use Discjuggler and tick in under program options the "30 seconds RAW leadout" option. It will allow you burning in sixty seconds of music more than any other application, and the CD will be playable anywhere (although not specs compliant).

note here you have to adjust the physical time in nero of the amount of overburn tomake it burn that amount of time more to the disk :)

I have not been able to burn 79:26:17 of data to an 80min disc with Nero 6.0.0.15 either, albeit I have to admit that I did not really understand what you said, Viper.

However, Nero 5.5.10.?! worked fine for me.

Looks to me like there's something pretty wrong with Nero 6... Lucky I didn't buy it. *yuck*

in the overburn options in nero you have to adjust or change the duration it overburns to eg 2 mins extra overburn or 1 minute extra or whatever you decide how much you want it to overburn by :)

According to other reports there is a bug in the latest updates for both 5.5 and 6. I assume they share the same burning engine. I encountered the same problem trying to burn a 699MB file even after enabling overburning on 5.5.10.50. I used Burnatonce instead and then learnt of the bug. I then reinstalled 5.5.10.42 and it burnt it without a problem. I tried v6 but when burning a folder of WAVs ripped with EAC using Nero Express it reversed the track order despite being ripped as Track 1 - title,Track 2 - title etc. I gave up with v6 after that. They seem to be screwing up badly some of the basics at present.

It seems the bugs ARE known - and the same bug also migrated to 5.5.10.50

(copied from my other post)

And the next update was WORSE!
6.0.0.15 has a problem with some overburn/maximal birn sizes, or possibly with overburn in general as well - the problem is also introduced into 5.5.10.50 as well.

Sorry Ahead, but "next scheduled update" is a pretty poor showing for fixing an issue such as this.

The patch you need is called Nero6Patch.exe and is about 3.3MB. I've installed it and it works fine. It is all over the net. Go to /http://www.filemirrors.com/ and search for Nero6Patch.exe. There are a good number of sites that have it. Unfortunately this search engine also hits some warez sites so make sure you stay off those disgusting sites.
