Canopus Procoder is one of the best Mpeg encoders, if you use DV canopus format as input then performance increases considerably (3 or 4 times more comparated with Huffyuv ,pic ,DivX ;MS DV or MPeg 1-2 inputs). I obtain 18.9 fps converting SVCD with procoder at Mastering Quality, 2 VBR pass y DC=10 ( 6.00 fps with the same settings using video captured with Huffyuv 480x480) in my Athlon 2100+, 1 gb ram.
- in difference with DV file Conv., Canopus procoder can convert any format of input to DV Canopus format (DV converter only works with DV video input)
- A most recient version of DV file converter (1.12 8/6/2001) can be find at
