canon bjc 4300

hi guys
i have a canon 4300 b jet which has been fine for the time ive had till now
now its decided to only print in yellow & blue so i assume the cartridge is blocked on red have tried cleaning repeatedly with white spirit etc no joy
also it seems to print in lines like a barcode

before i scrap it just wondered if anyone had any suggestions

This is replaceable TANK, permanent HEAD ? - am I right?

Not sure if you can get a cleanig cartridge - you may be able to make one by refilling an empty with cartridge/head clean fluid.

The head could be clogged, or it could actually be failing - replacing the permanent printhead is not an economic option.


you can also suffer an airlock if you replace a cartridge without following the correct procedure

I know with EPSONs, people have needed to self clean practically a whole cartridge through to clear partial blocks, but if one colour is not moving through at all, that won't help!

Have a rummage - looks like it may be a detachable head, so contact problems are another possibility

More expensive than original or clone ink tanks. but cheaper than a new printer!

i think ive solved it kept dripping video head cleaning fluid through print head and its ok

well as ok as a cannon cheapie ever is
