Cannot start nero 5.5.8.0 after upgrade

i have just upgraded to nero 5.5.8.80 from .72 ( i have a genuine copy came with my burner) when it starts it scan iede/scsi bus and just stops there.I have to use cnrtl/alt/del to end it.I am on xp any help will be gratefully accepted

Dump the upgrade and go back to your first copy, or del all and download the 5.5.8.80 and re install... have s/no for it if you need it. for some reson xp just dosnot like upgrades, it wont let go of the first copy and trys sometimes to load both.. my opinion...

have ya tryed to diable the xp burn...

don`t use xp myself.. but heard that the xp burn feature and
nero don`t mix...
