cannot copy dvd message with nero

i have nero and when i go to back up my dvd movie disc i get cannot copy dvd and as my discs are not copyrighted it is annoying can anyone help.i am using the most recent version on windows xp and have a sony cdrw/dvd and an nec 1500a dvdrw this is neros log file

I would start by turning on DMA.

device manager says i have dma switched on i have a nforce 2 motherboard with the newest drivers if that means anything to anyone

The Nforce IDE drivers tend to be problematic - the usual recommendation is to switch to Windows XP original drivers - not found the right page for identifying the versions yet.
