can you burn mpeg2 files on dvd disc...

@Falconer, probably would have made more sense to start your own thread.
Some players support RAW MPG's, in such a case, simply burn your mpeg2 files. Otherwise you will need to author them first. Check out the above links.

1) i have copied from the cam hi-8 tapes to the computer
2) and made the files as mpeg2 version
3) i burned the mpeg2 files on dvd disc
4) works fine on the computer with powerdvd but not on a stand alone dvd player
5) i have tried 4 different dvd players
and there is where i am stuck ...help

don't be astonish about the "SVCD to DVD±R" title; SVCD is MPEG2 too so the tutorial should fit in your case;
