Can someone tell me how to view movies?

I tried to d/l one & was able to get CD1.mpg, CD1.smi, CD2.mpg, CD2.smi, CD3.mpg, and CD3.smi... I also downloaded the Divx Player 2.0 Alpha but it wouldn't view these files.

Then I d/l'ed Nero with plug-ins and got the error:

"The following problems were found":

- stream encoding is invalid for a video CD
- invalid video stream 25 frames/second, 480x576 pixels

You are creating a video CD, v2.0 (CD-i player) Compliant CD
but the MPEG file is not suitable for such a disc."


What am I doing wrong? I have a CD burner but no DVD burner. Can I only watch on my computer or can I make a dicc that will play in my DVD player? I'd really appreciate any detailed help I could get.



Can anyone help me burn or view movies using a cd-r?

try windows media player 7 or above to play the files or win dvd or another dvd player that supports mpeg playback !

.smi files are real player files so you need to have that installed to play them

We do have a search button at the top of the page, you will be amazed at the things it will find, like tutorials on how to convert MPG's to VCD.
