can I use InstantCopy 8 to copy CSS protected DVD?

Hi all
its my first post here
I am very happy about this forum
and very happy to see the hidden settings tool

my question is: can I use InstantCopy 8.05 with DVDs that are CSS protected?
in the InstantCopy FAQ I see that it is not possible. but in the Hidden Settings Help, they mentioned that it is possible.

can anyone help me?

PS
I can see that Pinnacle InstantCopy Hidden Settings V1.4.2 is set to version 8.0.0.251
and I have updated it to version 8.0.0.270 (InstantCopy 8.0.0.5)
is there going to be a new Hidden Tools release soon?

InstantCopy 8 (Try&Buy) doesn't work with AnyDVD

Hi,

I tried to backup a DVD using InstantCopy 8.0.0.265 (Try&Buy) and AnyDVD 3.2.1.1 but it say's "Can't copy CSS protected disk".

Someone knows what to do?

I can't comment on Anydvd (never tried it),try using Dvd Decryptor in file mode.Rip the movie to your hard drive.Then use Instant Copy8.It works for me. ;)

I also haven't used the latest AnyDVD versions, someone might enlighten us if they have been tuned to work with CloneDVD- only...

Hi Gill,
Instant copy does not support copy of protected dvd,s (Hollywood ****),
But if U decrypt DVD first on Your hard drive (with DVD Decrypter or CladDVD.net 3.4.1 -both are freeware programs- u will be able to compile or make exact copy of any DVD. Hopping it can help U,

Pinnacle instant copy and AnyDVD

they work well together. enable AnyDVD (I use v3.2.1.1) and wait for the icon to turn red. start up instant cd/dvd any your on your way. ;)

IC takes longer than some copy software but the copies are excellent. it does a better frame analysis - so the wait is well worth it. :D

next best tool is CloneDVD :)

with anydvd + instantcopy everything can be done...

i don´t need to use DVD decripter anymore... now i can save precious time! ;)

as you say, we need to decript the dvd to hd firts.. but you can avoid spend the time on this if you have ANydvd
