depends on how many disks u wanna use... i use NERO for my boot drive thats just a tiny 3.2gig and it all fits onto 5 cdrs using NEROS hard drive backup..... although 20 gig is pushing the numbers up to 31 cds :( but you can just choose to backup whole partitions O.S included and will be restored as is so in theory its possible to partion off your windows section and just back that up to a couple of cds and all this can be done with windows in use and within windows .... a lot of people hate nero but this hd backup function is used by me once a month to backup my boot drive and windows and all my most used software including cdr software ,networking ,adsl software etc etc .... and in the event of a system failure i just have to reinstall from 5 cds and im up and running :)

i can re add any other stuff at a later date :)

everything is restored using NERO'S "NRESTORE.exe" dos exe gui interface :)

The really only good way is to only install the OS and programs on the C: partition and back it up. If you install the OS on C: and programs on say D:, restoring the C: alone will make your registry out of sync and newer or changed programs not to work anymore. I back up only my C: (it is upto 11gb now) with DriveImage, and burn the image files to DVD-R(W)s. Then can boot from the DVD and restore from the 2-3 disks.
