Hi

I have tried to create a DVD movie from a DIVX file. I converted the movie using cucusoft AVI to DVD. The conversion left me with two files an udio mpeg and a video mpeg. I then converted the mpegs to VOB files using InfoEdit, I was left with seven files which I burnt using Nero. When I play the DVD I get a brilliant quality picture but no sound can anybody suggest something.

avi to dvd

you should be able to burn the avi file straight onto a dvd using nero
i have done this using nero6 without a problem

you can mux the two together in TMPGenc but follow chickenmans guides they are the best

i do this myself, not add avi to dvd ....i use these proggies

Virtualdubmod
DVDRHelp Bitrate Calculator
TMPGEnc
TMPGEnc DVD Author ( You can also use any other DVD Author tool with AC3 support, like DVD-lab)

Did the DVD play okay from your HD before you burnt it ? What format is the Audio in, is it MP2, AC3 or WAV(LPCM) ?
