byrning dvd to vcd question (help Chickenman!!)

O.K. I'll try to make this as clear as possible:
I am looking to burn my dvd collection to vcd as backup I have dvddecrypter and dvdshrink, i have a 16x dvd rom and a 16x cd-rw. I am using nero 5.5.4.2.

I am able to use dvd shring o.k it does what is susposed to but I cant get the file size down to fit on the 700 mb cdr, I don't mind spiltting the movies if i have to, but im not sure which program to use for that. So my questions are:

1) Can i use dvddecrypter to rip the dvd to my harddrive? also it says that I must rip the whole dvd to my hard drive then let dvdshrink remove the parts that I dont want to burn?

2) Is my version of nero capable of burning vcd?

3) Is it possible to get a re-authored dvd onto 1 cd-r?

Personally if U have a lot to backup I'd buy a DVD burner & put em on DVDR

Get yourself a copy of movie jack and the patch...works like
a charm
