Burnt DVD not turning out good

I want to backup one of my dvd movies before it gets so scratched it won't work anymore. I have dvd x copy gold with dvd express which compresses it onto one dvd. The movie burns fine except it comes out too pixelly (probably not a word but hopefully you get the point!). Or in other words the movie just isn't clear like the original copy. The really weird thing is that my buddy has the exact same program and his movies look just as clear as the original. Is it my computer, a program i'm lacking? I have no idea....

Sounds Like U are compressing The Movie too much or Bad Media
