Ive been trying to backup my futurama seasons because i let my friends borrow them and I was wondering whats the best way to back up seasons because with dvdshrink it takes 2 dvdr per disc

why would it take 2 dvdrs per disc if you're using dvdshrink? dvdshrink can transcode the original discs to fit onto single dvdrs.

Not really much choice then is there?

You could try doing a full disc using CCE to encode and see how the quality is. Or rather calculate the size required and do one ep as a test case. If it still isn't good enough then I guess you could lower the resolution.

@dork I did season4 disc 1 to 4 using dvdshring to fit onto 1DVD-R disc and there all fine.
i also have dvds with 2-4 movies on they are are fine the quality drop isnt really noticable

i use CCE myself to backup my dvds, but i usually find that cartoons with well-defined edges and solid colors, such as futurama, compress fairly well with most transcoders since there aren't many color gradients.
