burning questions? need advice w/ nero

ok ,Im still new at this so bare with me,,

ive been burning files on to VCD useing nero,,
some are fine ,,couldnt be better,, but some ,,when i hit the play button to kinda preview the file ,,,,,it plays but it has a green tint to it,,,so i burned it anyhow an thats how it came out on the TV all the audio was fine an video was half ok accept when it was green oor upside down,,

Now I know different filies come out different but 'why would it play an stil be green??

Ive been useing a Videolan player for my media device because it seems to play everything from ,plain wmp.to divx ,to avi,,,so they play fine!! but when i put em in nero some are green??

Could someone give me some advice??

PC ,,i though it mayve been the file so i read the thread about transferring avi, divxetc, to mpeg,,but even when i tried to DL all the stuff i needed an went to trans fer then preview screen in the
Tmpge NCplus screen the file was still green? So I went ahead an aborted the transfer process because it was stilll green.

so this is about all the info so far,,,like i said everything I got will play in VL,,but when I try an use nero to burn it to disk it comes out green??

Has any1 had this problem,,,or could someone point me in the right direction to know?

Are you using NERO to convert !? there are posts on this green problem in the forum there seems to be an on going thing with nero messing things up with green/flipped video when converting the files :(

May i suggest following one of chickenman's tutorials on how to use "Tmpgenc" to encode the files then burn with nero after conversion you should find this makes the files fully compliant and no green and flipped video :)

i think i tried that,,or maybe i didnt do it correctly?

does anyone know of any other burning software that i could use to take care of this problem?

or where this Tmgenc post is?

also,,, do you have to have a dvd-r to burn a dvdrip file or dixv file?

Hi bryan_b24 Tmgenc can be found here at their homepage here.
As for burning a DVD rip you don't need a DVD burner if you 1st convert the rip files in to a new format.like VCD,DivX then that why you only need a CD burner and the software to change the format then burn to a CD disc.:)
