Burning Q: WinRAR file with .iso extension

Hello everyone.

Hope that things are well.

How would I manage a .iso file extension which is a "WinRAR file type". When I double click the .iso file, I get the usual video_TS and Audio_TS files. I subsequently tried to burn the video_TS files with Nero without success.

Am I missing a step here? Do I need another application to extract the video files?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

WHEN you extract the rar files are you left with a filename.iso File then just burn with DVDDECRYPTER using iso burn mode :)

VIPER_1069- Thanks for the quick response.

So to clarify: If I have a .iso file but under the file type it says "WinRAR archive", I don't have to further extract the Video_TS files and I can just burn it as an .iso?

Thanks for all the help. Sorry about the confusion.

open nero and choose to burn as DVD VIDEO copy the contents from the VIDEO_TS folder into the VIDEO_TS of the compilation and the contents of the AUDIO_TS (if any some do not have files in this folder) to the AUDIO_TS folder and try burning :)

if not do you have any other dvd burning software such as RECORD NOW MAX :)

Thanks again for your help!

I will try to burn again with Nero - the only problem I was having was that I would get a message of video compliance problem. I'm not sure what that means.

I also have Record Now Max.

Since version3 winrar supports iso,but imo its a limited a bit,so use ultraiso couse its a lot faster.
Winrar will do the job too,but it takes more times which could be a problem when a file is 300mb and more

ISO is the extension of CD or DVD image files. You can burn them directly with DVD Decrypter, or Nero (select...Burn Image...).

Because WinRAR can extract the content of ISO files, when you install WinRAR it registers the ISO extension to Windows registry.

You can use WinRAR to extract that iso file into files (within their subfolders); and then use Nero to burn:

1. Select DVD-Video option. In the New window of Nero, drag and drop all files from the Video_TS folder you've just extracted to the Video_TS folder which Nero created.

2. Click Burn :)

That's natural. One of the file types winrar can be associated with is ISO.
You can simply open Winrar and untick the association, although this shouldn't be a problem for buring the ISO with any application that supports burning ISO images (there must be several dozens of them, just use what you have installed).

Thanks to everyone for the help.

I tried to extract the video_TS files and burned it with Nero but it kept giving me a "compliance test failure". What does this mean?

BTW, I burned the .iso with dvd decrypter and it is working OK.

Thanks again.
