Burning movies from mini dv camcorder

I have recently bought a mini dv camcorder and used pinnacle studio 8 to edit movie and render as mpeg 2, I have studio 8LE which does not facilitate burning to disc and when i try to burn using nero it warns me of compliance test failure, can anyone suggest a way of burning to dvd-r without purchasing full version of studio 8

Your problems may be just beginning. I've just given up on Pinnacle Studio 8. I had synch problems when rendering long 2 hour movies. I solved my problem by going to Ulead VideoStudio7. There is a free trail version download on the Ulead web site.

Dont bother capturing to mpg in studio 8, capture at full dv quality and when you output save the file as an avi. then use tmpgenc or other file converter to make dvd compliant. you may also have to have de interlace swith on
