burning m2p file to SVCD

 I'm generating m2p files with ProCoder 1.01.35.0 and then burning them with Nero 5.5.9.14 as SVCD's. It seems to work fine except as soon as I skip or fast forward on the finished SVCD in my Apex 1500 DVD player, audio and video are out of sync.

Now, ChickenMan has mentioned that Nero sucks for burning SVCD's precisely for this reason. I've tried installing the recommended EasyVCD but EasyVCD does not recognize m2p files! Plus, the APSI/DAO thing is a mystery to me... it does not seem to recognize my Sony CRX175E burner and I can't figure out how to force the driver or install this DAO thingy.

I seem to like ProCoder's SVCD quality and ease of use but would also like to fix this sync problem.

Can anyone shed some light on this, please?

audio/video sync problem still remains

Well, I've managed to install APSI/DAO and finally run VCDEasy. I also was able to import m2p files to VCDEasy by simply changing the extention to mpg.

However, after successfully burning SVCD, I still get audio/video sync problems after trying to fast forward in my Apex-1500 DVD player. My original source file is an .avi created with MiniDV camcorder.

So, unless I'm doing something wrong, VCDEasy does not seem to be any better for creating SVCD's than NERO (in my case anyway).

Any clues?
