Burning .img files

I am trying to burn a dvd and the file extension says .img. None of my programs seem to recognise this. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I have nero and mydvd. I probably have others but not sure what to use. Thanks!

I know you can burn these with RecordNow Max. But I think you can use Nero as well. Try changing the file selector under "burn image" to "all files". Then select it. If I remember correctly, it will ask for some parameters about the file and then load it up for burning.

The best way to burn any dvd image with either iso or img extensions is with dvd decryptor.
The bonus is its free.

I burn DVD-R .img files with Nero, no worries. Just choose burn image, use the little drop-down thingy and select all files.

you know dave with... DVD DECRYPTER and a couple of other freeware tools its totally possible to completely rip and burn a dvd with FREEWARE TOOLS ...maby not as great as some commercial tools etc but for freeware you CAN definatly do it :)

Or so i have read anyhow there are even guides out there for doing just that ;)

Yeah, Viper, but I got 2 legal copies of Nero with my burners, so I use it. The only coasters I ever get is when I am stupid enough to do too much else at the same time (like video transcoding and such). Other than that, Nero does great with my Abit m/b, Athlon 2200+, Pioneer 105, and Yamaha F1. WiseMomMe was just trying to burn an .img of a DVD, not rip-n-burn as far as I can tell...
