Burning and RamIdle Pro

what are that chances that Ram Idle would mess with the burning process? i know it's supposed to 'cool down' the cpu when idle, and i don't know if that would screw up a burn job.

are you sure you dont mean cpuidle rather than ramidle. Haven't had and probs with cpu idle but ramile pro 3 did cause a fault in the use of icq(latest beta). Went back to ramidle 2 and all returned to normal.

@quintus: i stand corrected, and i am kicking myself in the ass with embarassment :D ! Yes, i meant cpuidle, and it was version 5.9 that i was using.
What happens is, and thank god, no coasters yet, while burning, i'd notice the buffer overrun protection kick in a couple of times when it shouldn't have -- wondering if this was caused by those 'idle moments'.

kugmo best to disable or turn off any runnin programs other then your burnin program to be on de safe side.

yup, i always do that, rasta. it's a habit i've kept from my pentium 200mhz days. :)
