Burning an .img

I just downloaded Half-Life.img and need to know what program I need to burn this. I have several programs, but nothing will open an *.img file

I know a lot of those img files are from Mac computers, but ( I am not 100% sure on this) I think cloneCD also can do them. If you don't have cloneCD or yours can't burn the image, then perhaps you could use winISO to open it with & convert to a format that one of your softwares support.
