It simply does not work for me... does not initialize any ATAPI device.
The program is tuned to use a local instance of Nero's wnaspi32.dll, something that's simply impossible if ASPI 4.6X or 4.7X is installed.
Moreover the guy has removed the wnaspi32.dll descriptions from the resources, something that I suspect is not exactly legal...
I may give it another try when the developer will find a better way to bypass the ASPI problem. Uninstalling ASPI to make this one run properly does not make sense.
UPDATE: replacing the local aspi file with the installed one from 4.60.1021 does not help at all, either.

Just downloaded and tested burn4free. Everything seems to work fine for me, it's a very small compact program. I've now tried CDBurnerXP Pro, burnatonce and burn4free. Of the non common features, verify seems to be unique to burn4free, bootable cd unique to burnatonce and I believe CDBurnerXP Pro is the only one that rips audio. I really haven't had that much time with all the functionality on all products so forgive me if I missed a feature. As far as aspi, I've never conciously installed this, I had to in win98se for some shareware I haven't installed in xp. A search didn't turn up the files you mention. I would probably not have bothered with burn4free if I didn't have that stupid problem with multiple sessions with burnatonce. By the way, I tried to burn a third session when session 2 was still open. It burned but only displayed first 2 sessions and would not let me burn a third - very strange.
I really like this forum, no silly sniping and knowledgeable contributors.

It doesn't work well with my Samsung Combo.

I have one CD-ROM, one Combo and two virtual Drives, the software cann't initialize with my Combo. It points to a virtual drive, faint!

And I cann't modify it!
