Hey

I got a new computer today, an AMD XP 2800+ with 512MB of ram and and 80GB Harddrive.

I also have an LG GSA-4040B DVD Burner. I have DVD Xcopy.

I ran DVDXcopy it said insert DVD. I inserted my DVD (Starship Troopers) then it did something for a while, then asked for me to insert a blank DVD disc. I did this *Memorex DVD+r* and it went through and burned successfully.

Of course I get all excited, but I go to play my burned DVD and its like the disk doesnt exsist, nothing can recognize it.... Is there something I am doing wrong here (obviously) .. The thing is there are really no settings to change with DVDXcopy..?

Thanks for any help!

Welcome.....:) I would guess DVDXcopy worked and your player does read DVD+R disc. What player are you trying to play it on? Did you check out your player on dvdrhelp.com to see if you player plays DVD+R cause a lot of players don't. Let me know if that helps.

Thanks for the reply.

I have an LG GSA-4040B. I read around, and it seemed by disc wasnt getting finalized properly. I finalized it using a tool that was reccomened, now the DVD plays, but the quality is bad, it is real choppy and the sound cuts in and out...

It was my first attempt, I didnt think I would get it right! Any ideas? Im using Xpress version of Xcopy.

I use xcopy xpress to copy dvd's to dvd+r media, works great, high quality. The disks play fine on my ps2 (although ps2 sometimes gives skips) and my xbox. They often don't play on my dvd player (apex) even though it claims to play dvd+r. I have noticed, if it reads too quickly, faster than 8 minutes or so, its not reading correctly and hence won't burn correctly.
